SALAMANDER III忠實呈現1980～1990年代GRADIUS系列的美術風格，採用2D像素角色與背景，玩家可使用SALAMANDER系列的強化道具穿梭不同關卡。

合輯共收錄7款作品的18個地區版本，並搭載多項現代化便利功能，包括：線上排行榜（Online Rankings）、倒轉（Rewind）、快速保存載入（Quicksave & Quickload）、簡易模式（Easy Mode）、訓練模式（Training Mode）、無敵模式（Invincible Mode）、視覺與音效資料庫（Visual and Sound Gallery）等。
